GEODI is a web application. Users access GEODI through an internet browser like Chrome, Firefox, or Edge. GEODI Server runs on your servers, and data remains inside.
This page lists the basic requirements of an installation.
GEODI Server Requirements
8+ Cores, 16Gb+ Memory for 10-50 Users, 500GB+ Disk
16+ Cores, 32Gb+ Memory for 50+ users, 500GB+ Disk
Windows 8 and above

More power is useful when extensive OCR requirements.
Physical/virtual or cloud server (Azure, Amazon, or others).
For FacePro or ImagePro, CUDA-supported NVIDIA GPU hardware is required.
Authorized Users
Authorized users and credential is required
For Windows Service Installation
A user with read-only access rights for Folder Data sources or File servers. File servers may be indexed with a GDE agent as a Windows service. Each server may require a different user.
Credentials for Databases, e-mails, and other data sources should be ready before the installation. GEODI stores this information encrypted.
Storage
GEODI requires storage for Index and, depending on preferences, for other purposes.
Optional Internet Access Requirements
Internet access is not mandatory. You may configure GEODI completely offline. The addresses here make management and updates easier.
servis.dece.com.tr → This address is required for license management. Offline licensing is available.
servis2.dece.com.tr → This address is used to access DECE-STORE. GEODI automatically updates modules and configuration materials. If you prefer an offline model, the update is still possible but needs manual intervention by your teams.
documents.decesoftware.com and sub links → This address is GEODI and Agents setup and auto updates of new versions.

GEODI Address/URL
GEODI requires an SSL-certified address and the default port 3323 (subject to change) to be open.
Clients (Users and Agents) must access to Depending on where the users and clients, the GEODI address may be accessible from the internet or not.
The GEODI Mobile app, which you can download from the AppStore or Google Play, needs internet access for GEODI.

The Data Sources
GEODI has many data adapters. GEODI Data Sources Page explains how to connect each data source.
While you may add/delete data sources at any time, we suggest you determine the data sources and have access credentials ready before installation.
For data discovery, determining the discovery scope is also important. GEODI has hundreds of recognizers and tools for GDPR, PCI/DSS, HIPAA, Finance, country-specific or custom discovery.
Agents
Your configuration may need some agents to be installed.
PC/FileServer crawling agent - GEODI Desktop Explorer(GDE)
GDE has different packages for Windows, Linux, and Mac computers.
GDE may run in login user space or as a service.
We suggest you use a tool like ManageEngine or SCCM to install/update/remove these agents.
If you want a user to open/view a file from a PC, port 1982(or choose another one) must be open on the clients.
Classification agent - GEODI Classifier
The GEODI Classifier family has agents for Desktop and Microsoft Office Classification.
Office Classifier agent works on Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Desktop Classifier agent works on Windows Explorer. All agents are in a single package.
We suggest you use a tool like ManageEngine or SCCM to install/update/remove these agents.
