GEODI Setup in Default Mode

GEODI Setup in Default Mode

After running the setup, GEODI starts in default mode and automatically opens a tab in the browser. You can access the management and query interface by right-clicking on GEODI in the System Bar/System-Tray.

Other users access it through the browser.

In default mode GEODI uses its own http server and no WEB server is required. In this method, GEODI runs operations with the authorizations of the user from which it is run. You must set up processes such as restarting GEODI when the server machine is turned on.

After the default mode setup is complete, you can switch to Windows service or IIS mode. The settings are valid for all.

Port Settings for Default Mode

GEODI Server runs on port 3323 by default when it uses its own application server. You can change this if you wish. You can access it from any computer on the network where GEODI Server is located with the address <http://<server ip>:3323. External users can also access if you have a public address. We recommend you to define a domain (like geodi.yourdomain.com) to facilitate access.

For access from outside the network and Mobile, port forwarding should be done in the firewall of the organization as in other web applications.

You can use two methods to change the port.

  1. When running GEODI, you can give the port parameter from the command line. "GEODI.exe port=80"

  2. It can be set permanently with the AppPort value in the System Configuration - Security Settings file.

These methods are also valid for MOBIDI Office.
