ADS alternative Labelling for Linux and MacOS

ADS is used for files that do not support labelling, unlike PDF, Word, or Excel files. However, the ADS (Alternate Data Stream) method only works on NTFS systems. GEODI now supports ADS alternative labvelling for linux systems.

Bulk Discovery on Shared E-Mail Sources

Since Microsoft removed the 'Application Impersonation' permission, bulk email discovery was not possible. This issue has been resolved with a new development. You can now perform bulk discovery on shared mailboxes using the Microsoft Graph API

Send Email Action

A key component of any workflow, the Send Email action lets you notify stakeholders at any point—whether during or after the process. It keeps you informed about what happened and when it happened.

You can send emails to individuals or entire LDAP groups, and include reports or other attachments directly in the message.

Classification Enhancements

Classification performance has been significantly improved—especially for large Excel files. You'll notice quicker processing times and smoother workflows when dealing with high-volume or complex datasets.

With GEODI Q, AI-powered automatic classification features have been enhanced.

Notification When the Project Discovery is Complete!

When the discovery is complete, you will receive an email notification attached with the summary report. This way, you do not need to monitor Discovery process and you will have the result as soon as the discovery completed.

GEODI Panels have been improved, and the Counter/Multi-Counter tool has been added. This allows for easily adding the number of words matching a rule in a query result.

With trend analysis, it is much easier to track the change in finding numbers over time. You can track the increase with newly discovered findings and the decrease with destruction/quarantine.

Error and Warning Messages Are Now Much More Readable

GEODI logs and displays messages in the interface for numerous situations, such as unreadable files, inaccessible web pages, invalid tokens, or user information. These messages and logs were often difficult to understand. With this new development, they are now much clearer and categorized as Error, Warning, or Information.

Exclude Views Option in Database Discovery

You can now exclude Views during database discovery. Since Views often contain data already present in other tables, excluding them will reduce duplicate data discovery and improve performance.

Solution for Non-Overlapping Sharing and File Permissions

During LDAP permission checks on shared resources, an option has been added to ignore sharing permissions and built-in permissions.

When settings are changed, re-scanning is not required. The new settings are applied to existing content via the "Adjust Permissions" feature.

Default Values Updated

Based on user feedback, the default values have been changed.

  1. Performance: The speed is now at its highest level.

  2. Unrecognized File Extensions: These will now be indexed by file name (previously, they were ignored).

  3. MDB and File-Based Databases: By default, they will be indexed by name. The required module can be installed from DECE-STORE to explore tables and rows.

We have significantly enhanced the discovery scope and improved the performance of each country.

There are now templates for each country and regulation. Just choose a template and start discovering. This feature is part of GEODI Discovery.

Limiting System Admins Permissions

System Administrators don’t have to be superusers anymore. You can limit sysadmins’s access to the project, totally preventing them from seeing the content and discovery results, and just manage the system.

Improved LDAP Support and New Queries

Improvements have been made to LDAP file permissions. It is now also possible to query documents if a particular user and group sees.

User: <user> or user: <group> queries can also be used for classification. For example, if a particular group sees a document, it is confidential.
