GEODI can also scan your e-mails and attached files from e-mail servers. Features such as finding duplicates and similar documents are also available for emails.

No additional processing is required for PST files. They are treated like any other file in the directory where they are located.

You start by adding an e-mail source. You can add as many of the same source types as needed.

When using the e-mail servers known in the list, you can learn the values asked with the help of the relevant e-mail server. For servers not listed, protocols such as POP3 or IMAP can be used.

The interface presented here requires a definition for each e-mail account. If you want to do it collectively, you should follow the steps below.

Filter options can be used to limit the e-mails to be indexed.

Indexing all addresses in a single source

In GEODI, we can index the e-mails of all users with a user who can access the e-mail addresses of other users in the environment. To activate this feature, you can make adjustments in GEODI and Mail Management interface and you can scan multiple mails from a single mail address to GEODI and search/discover them.

(warning) The "EWS" service must be turned on in Exchange Server to ensure the connection. https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/deva/2011/12/01/how-to-get-the-ews-endpoint-url-from-outlook-20072010/

Actions to be taken in Mail Account

  • You need to add a new contact from your account in the "Contacts" tab.

  • "Read and Manage" permission must be granted for the person you are adding.

  • To add more than one contact to your list, you can do this with the "Import Contacts" option from the Manage menu. You can also export your contacts in *.csv format with this method.
