Subforms are forms but used under another form. Like a master record and detailed check record as many as needed under it. Or a proposal and items under it also a candidate for subforms. A form can have more than one subform.
You define subform under the main form. Open the form designer and add a subform, that's it. You can not directly data entry to subforms w/o the main form.
