Indexing all addresses (Exchange Server)

It is possible to index all or selected accounts at once.

  1. Check "Include Shared Mail Addresses" option.

  2. Have an authorized exchange user.

In GEODI, we

GEODI also discovers mail attachments. Discovery scope can be restricted just to include mail attachments. Procedures like OCR and Face Recognition can be applied on mail attachments also.

Mails can be used for search also. In Enterprise Search Projects, users can select See only your own emails option in settings.

Indexing All Addresses (Exchange Server)

In GEODI, you can index the e-mails of all users with a an authorized user who that can access the others' e-mail addresses of other users in the environment. To activate this feature, you can make adjustments in GEODI and Mail Management interface and you can scan multiple mails from a single mail address to GEODI and search/discover them.

Actions to be taken in Mail Account

  1. You must add a new contact from your account in the "Contacts" tab.

  2. "Read and Manage" permission must be granted for the person you are adding.

  3. To add more than one contact to your list, you may "Import Contacts".

Primarily, an authorized e-mail address must be defined, and Discovery Management permissions should be assigned so that it can be done over a single e-mail address.

      1. Assigned → Add the created e-mail address.

Setting E-mail Visibility/Permissions by User

  • The user who logs in to GEODI can see the email if From/To/CC/BCC is included in the indexed email.

  • Otherwise, only the system administrator can see it.

You can connect such servers using the Other option with IMAP or POP3.
