The system admins Actions include processes such as the disposal or quarantine of sensitive content discovered by GEODI Discovery. Actions also cover data remediation processes.
System administrators and members of the "ACC.Discovery"
group can access the actions . The actions are visible in the workspaces only if specified on this page.
To apply actions to the desired projects, the setting Advanced/WorkspaceSettings/GenericSettings/"ACC.Discovery":true

Disposal
GEODI uses the reporting infrastructure to generate data remediation scripts. Destroy The disposal script is one of them. There is no undo for Destroy. Please use it with carethese. The ready-made scripts are in Windows Batch language, working for both local and remote (GDE) sources. Scripts can also be generated for languages such as Bash or Python.
Disposal is an irreversible process, please proceed with caution.
Due to internet browser security measures, scripts are generated using downloaded with the extension *.bat.txt extension. Please You must rename it them to *.bat before use.
We suggest that the scripts be used on the same machine as the GEODI server installed The generated script may not work on different machines due to access rights, paths of remote files, and other issues. The generated script is in Windows Batch language. You may change it to bash, python, or any other languagesimilar reasons. You should run it on the machine where the GEODI Server is located.
Actions: Discovery-Quarantine
Like destroy, quarantine is also a script. The script effectively moves the content to a determined place.
There is no undo for Quarantine. Please use it with care.
Please make sure the quarantine place has enough storage space.
Other terms are the same as DestroyQuarantine creates a batch script that moves selected content to a designated directory. It covers local or network directories as well as remote directories provided by GDE. The selected files are moved to the quarantine area.

Batch masking is a GEODI DCC file to mask selected files. DCC can be run on GEODI Server. Masking covers local and network sources.

Token → A token with a user that has masking permission. Obtain a token from <geoddi-url>/API.
