GEODI management page is the page where you will access to create projects, change settings, access DECE-STORE, edit permissions, indexing and other settings.
You may have one or more project in GEODI. each of them can have different data sources and rules. As a best practice, we suggest that you create different projects for Classification and each Data source for Discovery. If you want to use GEODI for Enterprise Search then all sources should be in the same project.
Indexing is important and for each project is managed in the same page. Indexing . GEODI crawls/discovers data sources and creates the index. Index is the source of queries, reports and other things.
Each project may have different permissions. Details of a project will be covered in another course, GEODI 303 Project Wizard. Project Wizard
Index is a database for GEODI and should be maintained. You should take backups. You should optimize from time to time.
There are some brief reports about the project. Errors should be checked. In the settings page, there are brief reports for the system and project also. You may get usage reports from here.
Indexing speed is one of the important settings that affects how fast you index/discover. The faster you go, the more resource you need. GEODI always leaves some CPU resources but does not guarantee for Disk and Memory.
You will need DECE-STORE to find your templates. Templates for a regulations, like GDPR, SAMA, PCI/DSS or SAMA. And country specific recognizers, like SSN recognizer. DECE-STORE contatnly updated and so your installations.
Dictionaries are both directly used as a discovery compound, and some recognşzers may use them indirectly. This section is open to user.
