GEODI SETUP 8.0.141 (27758)

GEODI now discover SSH sources

SSh sources can now be discovered. For some of those sources, an agent can still be used.

Please check Source:SSHpage for the details.

The backup option is now the default.

All templates are now backup active. The default backup folder is /backup in the ındex folder. The project will be back up every day at 03:00.

Various improvements for classification

  1. Classify after discovery settings are now more manageable. Please check Classification page for details.

  2. Recognition of labels and visual markings of alternative classification tools improved.

GEODI Q, many improvements

The GEODI Q recognizer and chat features have been improved greatly, improving advanced discovery and automated classification.

GDE Agent Installation Made Easy

The Project wizard generates the necessary Batch file for setting up the GDE agent. You can copy and use it with tools like ManageEngine or SCCM. Alternatively, manual installation is also possible.

GEODI SETUP 8.0.140 (27738)

Error and Warning Messages Are Now Much More Readable

GEODI logs and displays messages in the interface for numerous situations, such as unreadable files, inaccessible web pages, invalid tokens, or user information. These messages and logs were often difficult to understand. With this new development, they are now much clearer and categorized as Error, Warning, or Information.

Exclude Views Option in Database Discovery

You can now exclude Views during database discovery. Since Views often contain data already present in other tables, excluding them will reduce duplicate data discovery and improve performance.

Manual Proxy Configuration for Email Connectionsyarı

You can now configure a manual proxy for email connections.

Kaynak:E-Mail

Solution for Non-Overlapping Sharing and File Permissions

During LDAP permission checks on shared resources, an option has been added to ignore sharing permissions and built-in permissions.

When settings are changed, re-scanning is not required. The new settings are applied to existing content via the "Adjust Permissions" feature.

User/Authorization Management

Default Speed is Now 5

The default value, previously set to 3, has been increased to 5. This means new projects will now start faster right away.

Improvements and Speed Enhancements in Summary Reports

Summary reports provide an overview of various details about projects and discoveries. Visual and performance enhancements have been made to these reports for a better experience.

GEODI SETUP 8.0.139 (27706)

Classification Server and Agents Improved.

Labeling and annotation features are improved.

Agents are now on DECE-STORE

It is now much easıer to manage the agents. Agent update was otomatic but now it is much easier to manage on closed networks as well.

Offline Updates are much Easier

It is much easy to manage updates in closed networks.

Indexing of Unknown File Extentions

The files other than the ignore list will be indexed by their name and dates.

GEODI SETUP 8.0.138 (27697)

Default Values Updated

Based on user feedback, the default values have been changed.

  1. Performance: The speed is now at its highest level.

  2. Unrecognized File Extensions: These will now be indexed by file name (previously, they were ignored).

  3. MDB and File-Based Databases: By default, they will be indexed by name. The required module can be installed from DECE-STORE to explore tables and rows.

Maintenance Tools Accelerated

Maintenance tools, such as updating permissions, are now faster.

GEODI SETUP 8.0.137(27658)

Query for file names and file contents.

With this development, you can now search by specifying either just the content or just the file name. You can use this capability in searches or classifications.

GEODI Query Rules

It is possible to compress old indexes.

With the new index improvements in GEODI, the index structure has become much more compact. This version allows for compressing old discovery and search indexes and transitioning them to the new structure.

Possible to modify default auto-classification rules by new dictionaries

There are two dictionaries for the Confidential and Restricted classes. Any addition, deletion, or modification to these dictionaries will affect the classification rules.

You can access these dictionaries under the Classification tab on the GEODI dictionaries page. You can delete or add entries as needed."

GEODI Classifier - Class and Policy settings

Name recognizer covers more languages.

A critical feature of GEODI NLP is the name recognizer. Numerous improvements have been made to recognize names, the most important being the recognition of names in more languages. Recognizing names from unstructured data is crucial in discovery and classification.

Digits in all languages

The world has many alphabets, and digits are written differently in various languages, but they all refer to the same thing. GEODI now behaves the same no matter which alphabet or language a number is written in. This is true for an ID number, a date or any other text that contains a digit.

Ready SourceCode query added

predefined:SourceCode query lists all source code files. The query supports extensions for well-known languages.

You need to install the module from DECE-STORE.

Ready CV query added

predefined:CV queries various CV documents based on content. Currently, it supports English, German, French, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindu, Urdu, and Turkish.

GEODI Setup 8.0.135

New Country and Regulation Templates

We have significantly enhanced the discovery scope and improved the performance of each country.

There are now templates for each country and regulation. Just choose a template and start discovering. This feature is part of GEODI Discovery.

You can now search DECE-STORE with regulation names, like GDPR, SAMA, or PDPL.

Limiting System Admins Permissions

System Administrators don’t have to be superusers anymore. You can limit sysadmins’s access to the project, totally preventing them from seeing the content and discovery results, and just manage the system.

Improved LDAP Support and New Queries

Improvements have been made to LDAP file permissions. It is now also possible to query documents if a particular user and group sees.

User: <user> or user: <group> queries can also be used for classification. For example, if a particular group sees a document, it is confidential.

Possible to see all permissions of a content

There is a new component for system admins to see the permissions for the documents on the search interface. Click a document to see who can access it.

GEODI Setup 8.0.134

Much less index disk requirements

GEODI index has been improved for disk size. There are also minor performance improvements.

Licence Dialog improved

License dialog has been improved for subscription licenses.

Now, the remaining time is much visible.

License deactivation/activation has also been simplified.

Faster Sampled DB discovery

The workload on DBs for sampling mode has been optimized. Sampled DB discovery is now up to %70 faster.

Uses less memory

Some discovery projects used too much memory, and it was possible to get an “out of memory” error in some cases.

Memory usage has been optimized and almost constant for any dataset.

The memory requirements mentioned in the system requirements are still valid.

New Queries

There are new predefined queries and a new page for a more deiled explanation. Predefined queries make addressing target data much easier.

  1. Predefined:PCI → select discoveries in the PCI/DSS regulation scope.

  2. Predefined:PII → to address PII data

  3. Predefined:O5Y → legacy data older than 5 years
