The GDE agent allows for indexing/discovering many PCs w/o defining each. The GDE runs on Windows, Linux or MacOS.
With the GDE:
You can define which local folders will be included.
With the Search license, it is possible to set each user to search defined sources plus only his/her PC.
Optionally backup indexed data to a central location.
